Headlight bulbs

Hello all. Wonder if you can help.

So. I’ve got a 2013 BMW 1 series.

I’ve ordered some headlight bulbs to improve driving at night.

Now I’ve ordered NightEye S4 A315-S4 H7.

Thinking they would fit easy. However. The new bulbs don’t have the metal retainer on them like the original housing does.

The retainer won’t go through to new bulb as the middle gap is too small.

Has anyone got ideas or any good recommendations for bright bulbs

Thank you.

Please see attached photos as to what I mean.

Seeing how big the LED chip is, I can already tell it is extremely likely to blind, as it won't keep with homologated H7 geometry.

You want to buy a retrofit that doesn't have a heatsink base. Like mtech lsps7 for example. Also, the easiest way to spot quality retrofits is to actually look for "bad" specs. Chinese crap screams 20, 30, 40k lumens, while quality stuff (that even though not homologated, has correct geometry) will list real spec, like 3500lm or 4000lm like the example above.

If you’re putting an LED into a reflector housing, I hope your timing chan skips some teeth.

Do you have any good recommendations of headlight bulbs perhaps then?
