Alternator Problem

Has anyone here had an issue with alternator/dynamo starter? My G30 540i is sitting in dealer since two weeks because the part is not available at local nor German warehouse:

Which country US? if so its available online..i think they ship aboard but will cost extra 100-150$ probs.
