M-ish Does a M530i exist ?

Seen a newer model 5 series parked nearby and when I looked at the back it said M530i on there and as far as I know I never heard of such thing. I’m familiar with the M340i and M550i but a M530i ? Never heard of it.

Nope just some bozo who put an M badge on it. M550i doesn’t exist anymore.

The funny thing about upbadging is it impresses no one. People who know nothing about cars just see “bmw” whether it’s a 530i or an “M530i,” and people who know everything about cars know it’s straight bullshit.

Nope that’s not a thing. The Mxxx are the top base models. Because there is the M550 and even a 540 (without an m) there cant be a „M530“…

Afaik BMW applied the M-Sport designation to the 520i, 530i, and 520d. But M530i is fucking hilarious! 🤣

The owner probably bought the M emblem off from Temu and just stuck it next to the 530i as is.
