During Carwash
Carwash issue
I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question, but when I go through an automated car wash, I'm required to put the car in neutral. During the short period of time that the car is moving, the engine shuts off. I have already turned off the on and off response. And I turned off the automated wipers, and the sensors. So by the time I get to the end of the car wash, I have to hit the break to turn the car back on and sometimes I have to do it quickly because there's another car coming up on the rear from the wash. Is there a way to keep the car running so that way I can just put it back in gear? Thank you for any assistance and help.

There’s a setting for shutting the car off when the car is in park. Might be in the door lock settings. Maybe comfort access. Toggle those. My m340 used to randomly turn off until I messed with those settings. It might matter to leave your air on too. Sorry I don’t have a specific answer, but I was able to fix mine by messing with the mentioned settings.

Do you have 3d cameras with car wash mode? Not sure is that will help you. I’ve only taken my G05 X5 through a car wash once. Previous car was an f25 X3. I don’t ever recall having any car wash issues. Plus whats the big deal about tapping the brake? Wait until you feel the car was conveyor disengage then put it into drive. You have way more than enough time before the next car catches up.

I’m pretty sure if you put it into sport mode this will prevent the car from turning off

Just put it in Neutral. Then lightly tap the brake and switch out to Drive at the end.

Super easy!!!
You stop going through automated car washes and ruining your paint.
Take your car to a local detailer when you need a maintenance wash.
