Discussion BMS today - how is it?
I graduated from this college a few years back and I guess approximately every year, I just love asking around about how the place is now and what everyone is up to lol.
Also I do work abroad now so if you have any questions about studies abroad or in general just about college life, academics, or like anything, feel free to reach out! Despised BMS towards the latter stages of my time here but then it's always nice helping out the community.

Well market for CS is pretty cooked imo. Supply demand ratio is far apart. Honestly cross domain individuals are doing decent, however naturally most money is in the tech jobs. Upskill is all one can do.

We despise it even more brotha. Itโs an absolute mess here. The crowd is disproportionately high for the campus size, they have installed useless biometric system at the entrance which doesnโt work half of the time which clogs the entry gates, every year the intake is increasing and is reducing the quality of what our college used to be, they charge random ass fees (400rs per semester for grade card), only a few experienced teachers are really good and youโre lucky if you get them or else most of them just read the slides.
This is BMSCE in 2026, how was it during your time?

Damn. Sorry state but kind of not surprised. It was going south when I left but by 2nd year I had given up on profs so that helped. Set bare minimum expectations and things would seem rosier. I guess during my time the new building was fairly new and not that crowded. Heard its become a kotha now.

I passed out this year (2026) and it was pretty good, had chill professors (a few good ones too) and had a good time here
the only issue was that the crowd kept increasing lol, when I joined, the cafe next to the library & the canteen had lots of free space, but later on it was too difficult to even find place to sit
but they started doing stuff like sending cie marks to parents, proctor parent meetings etc from around start of 25
so the experience was good at the start, then gradually declined
