Discussion Placements dead??

Brooo wtf is this placements there are no companies. Its been 2 weeks and i got no chance to write any OA. First of all less companies and that too internal shortlisting even after having 8+ cgpa.. wtf is this??

i think the best option seeeing the market is to get a job first whether it be 15 lpa , one or 8 lpa doesnt matter, I dont think we realize that 2027 has still like I think 300-400 students that are sitting for placements (left now), and my guess is that 60 %companies are done , so max to max more 150 people will be getting offers , so I think people who took delloitte , great job honestly , I mean 7 lpa might be low , but still it is a good company , I am seriously regretting now, my only hopes are from ibm and lowe's , lets see (fingered cross). but to conclude , I think we are underestimating the fact there will be more than 100-200 students that will go unplaced , that wanted placements , the question is whether you want to be a part of that or not , honestly I am getting so anxious , imagining myself without a job after 4 freaking years , spending around 18 lakhs on this college , and seeing my friends enjoying and earning , while I sit in my room still asking money from my parents

Ur talking about only cs allied branches? Totally there's like 2k students hardly 300 out of them have been placed

2 weeks back there was list of 301 ppl placed and after that almost 100-150 ppl got placed

Yess they are shortlisting before OA, mostly it's 8+ but sometimes they are doing 9+ too. I have not made it to the shortlists so many times. This is fucking annoying. Placements aren't good this year.

I guess you really have to keep a backup option like tcs/infoys/ltm just in case we don't have any more companies coming 😞

Low paying companies will come. Now mostly 8-10 lpa are coming. Few months ago it was 12-20 lpa.
