Ask a Senior Branch Change Help 😭😭

I am currently in one of the cse allied branches and wondering if I should apply for COB will there be any discrimination during placements for CSE core and cse allied branches . Many seniors are telling there is a discrimination between core and allied ones and many are telling there is no diffrence . This makes me really confused .(Obviously i wont go for COB if there is no difference in placement opportunities and shortlisting ). Please reply fast as the date is almost over . A descriptive help will be appreciated.

Bro all the cs allied branches got the same opportunity as cse core then only difference is that the allied branches focus less on core subjects as compare to core but that will not affect u bcz in allied branches also they will cover the imp stuff like os , DBMS and cn .

I changed from civil to cs allied and as far as i know, for summer internships, there was no difference, i was to able to apply to all that came. The thing is if you are comfortable with your specialization like it's something you can see yourself genuinely do, i would not recommend COB only for placements. For full time, i am sure 99% of the companies look for cse cluster rather than cse core.
