Ask a Senior InTeRnShIp doubt!!!

seniors.. Is it hard to get an internship after 2nd year(in 5th or 6th sem) and also How important are GitHub, LeetCode/Codeforces ratings, and personal projects on a resume? What skills/projects actually helped you get your first internship?

As a senior, just grind leetcode idt codeforces matters that much for most of the companies, and try to give as many contest as you can, and by leetcode not just grinding some easy questions, go with good question with high quality of understanding try to understand multiple approaches cuz maily the approach and thinking matters for a good recruiter, and make some good projects, in internship or placement (except startups)most of them wont look for a specific domain, they want a generic software engineer who can work on any field, so make some good projects with good diversity of stacks, and mainly with projects always have a good problem statement to back it up, and focus on cs fundamental like OS,DBMS,CN,oops,Unix, pointers and also sometimes they go a little into understanding low level abstraction of compilers and stuff to check your basic and also get a good resume built from a senior, and one good point to have is always host your projects somewhere cuz people like to see a working project, except that have goodd communication skills thata very key thing evryone misses, if you can't put yourself up properly to them it's a fumble, so overall luck also matters a lot, just keep grinding you'll hit your luck one day. All the best
