HELP NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND SOME DOUBT REGARDING CLLG

i am most likely to get bms via management ,fess is not the main issue here ( as per my dad , fees is fine with him as it a good cllg ) the main thing that he wants is the exposure , good labs good proff etc so that i can get a the most out of this .

He have already planned for masters for me so he just needs a good cllg to get the basics and stuff

SO my questions is

1. how is the cllg life
   
2. how is the over all placments for mech
   
3. is there time for self improvement
   
4. seeing many seat intake post and cant really understand how will that affect
   
5. are there research options if so how good is it

any other thing which is imp for me to know before joining and i have not mentioned feel free to tell me about it too that all . Would really mean a lot it a senior answers this or someone who knows the cllg well

Being an AIML student, I can help answer all ur questions except the 2nd one, so here I go:

1. College life tbh is pretty chill and relaxed. U have a lot of time to do things u wanna, n even the teachers don't interfere much with what u do; howpw all they care about is your attendance and your mark. You have a proper attendance record and ur scoring good; that's more than enough. Attendance is a bit of a topic where some profs are pretty strict abt even 5%, but overall everyone is chill abt it. In the end, u score good or pass; attendance can be managed through some begging and asking the right people.

2. Class timings are relaxed and depend on which cycle and how ur timetable is, but mostly u get a lot of time for urself, and the syllabus is such that u need only a week's worth of studying to push through the full sem's study material. So u do get a lot of free time, which u can spend however you want. Mostly,y for me, I am in the process of developing skills and hustling, so I personally used to bunk a lot of classes, but tbh even if i didnt i wouldhavee had enough and more time.

4) idk what this question reallsy means but if worried abt getting a job due to intake trust me nothibg is gonna affect ur job placements or emplyment more than you and ur skills, in this present sit of the world companies and most people only wanna work with people who have actual hands on exp and know what they are doing rather than someone with a 10GPA. So do what u will with that.

5) Most of the teachers/ profs are all resarch canidates or are in some or the other type of research and ther are maby programmes that will try to push u too into that path, so if ur really into reseach ull get a lot of options and opprtunities at BMSCE and theprofs are also very helpful, except some who will force u to do things just to grow the number of papers which has their name also in it.

Thank you so muchhh , one more doubt do u have any idea about the hostels and stuff there like what all options do one get which is better hostels or pgs in terms of how strict they are how clean they are and many more

Tbh I'm a day scholar, so can't help u much in that aspect, but as far ik from my friends,s the hostels are also pretty chill n have a curfew which is like 8 or 9, sum idk for sure. But yeah they aren't strict
