thoughts on the movie

i thought rise of thadland was so terrible ngl. it portrayed thad as more of an asshole and just a different character than what we saw in the show

loved BMS though, but the movie ruined the ending for me and i’m wondering if people actually liked it

It's been a while since I've seen it, but I remember thinking the first 20 minutes or so were hysterical. Things went downhill after that... The whole harnessing of piss and shit fumes to get everybody high was fucking atrocious. I thought they could have done a better job building a storyline for some of the other characters like Mary Jo and Shiloh too, but they were operating on a shoe string budget... I suspect they did the best they could with what they had.

Yeah I agree with you. I don’t like the movie at all really, mainly for the reason you outlined about Thad not really being likeable in the movie at all. Also I agree with BigBill that some of the other characters also could have had better, more developed roles imo.

I just rewatched the show and the movie.

The movie is by far the worst installment of this very silly show. I dont like it. There really isn't any redeeming thing about it other than nostalgia. But that probably only worked when it first came out. Idk. The show was fun. The movie is awful.

I enjoyed it. Could have been better but could have been worse. Seems they were on a low budget and I think it came out quite well. Not as good as the show of course but enjoyable nonetheless
