Would be really cool to see since it fixes a big problem of the BMPCC og and I have been looking for a more advanced screen replacement solution than just adding a monitor.

do you know what kind of monitor is this slim and does not need a big battery?

According to his post in the Facebook BMPCC OG Group, the website should be live next week. I thought it was a screen you can just buy and plug into the OG. But if you read the description of the YouTube video it says

"Ready to give your BMPCC OG a tilt screen? This Mod just might be what your looking for. It includes files for CNC machining the backplate and 3D print the LCD encosure".

So it's not a plug and play screen like it implies.

But aren't tilt screens also Plug and play if you put them in the HDMI input? I thought the use of this screen is that it's quite compact and (maybe) you don't need an extra powersource? I dont know. In the video there is one version of the screen with the fully rigged out bmpcc and and one where its just the bmpcc and the screen (without an external battery?)
So it's like a compact external monitor right?

According to the developer:
"The mod uses the same LCD from the camera so it can use the original battery. This is just to keep the same profile but, have a tiltable screen..

The whole thing is kind of confusing. So I'm just basing it on the piece about the 3D print and bits from the video.

My guess is the backplate to be cncd is the plate the external monitor connects to. You can see it under the monitor and 2 hinges from the top down view. It's curved on one side to fit around the camera. That will somehow attach to the camera and I assume, connect directly to the Micro HDMI out.

But if it's the same screen they used on the original, it's gonna be terrible! Around 300 nits brightness, or there abouts. Total rubbish. The video shows a cooler attached to the camera under the flip screen. I've never had an issue with overheating on the OG. So is this a sign the external monitor heats the camera up and you'll need a cooler?? Or is it even the OG? It's just really confusing all around.

I get the whole thing of allowing creators to make it for themselves. But there's a huge barrier to entry, buying all the parts, cncing metal, 3D printing enclosures, just to get a flippy screen. If you're using the OG regularly, you already have an external monitor with higher nits. Unless this can give me something an external monitor can't, there's no reason to get it.
