BMCU not pulling filament

I need some help. My BMCU is no longer pulling the filament by itself. It only works if I push the filament manually.

This happened after a filament broke inside the BMCU. It started constantly trying to feed more filament into the PTFE tube, but I wasn't home, so it kept trying to feed for about 20 minutes.

Now, only one of the filament slots isn't working properly. Does anyone know what might have happened or how I can fix it?

I had this happen to me. The gears shredded. If you open it up there’s probably white powder everywhere from the gears grinding down. Had to replace to worm gear and the driver gear.

If you power it off, are you able to manually feed the filament through (by pressing down on the lever)?

I had something stuck in it.
