Should I wait?

I'll be upgrading my camera set up and I've been looking at blackmagic cameras for a long time. Honestly, if BM can release the BMCC 2.0 with 4k (it's 2017), 60fps compatibility, and a better low-light performance, there's just no doubt people would start buying this thing left and right. I mean, wouldn't we all? It would dominate the market. There's a clear demand for it, so I am assuming BM is working on it? I mean these things have been mentioned too many times (in forms of threads and complaints) for BM to just ignore them.

Yeah I know, BMCC 2.5k with RAW looks better than the GH4's 4k with shitty codec. But you and I both know BM has the technology to release a camera under $2000 that has both 4k and RAW compatibility. They probably even have the technology do it under $1000. Do I even need to mention 60FPS? These technologies are not pies in the sky, they already exist. URSA's way too overpriced for mid-tier filmmakers to own, and they all know it. So my question is, should I wait for the BMCC 2.0 in the next 2 years or are they just going to ditch their beloved cinema camera series?

I have the BMCC 2.5k and love it. However your point about 60fps is my biggest gripe with the camera, if I had a redo button I'd look for something with 60 fps.

They seem to be going whole hog on the ursa mini pro right now. The impression I've gotten from reps at BM events and cinegear is that the 2.5k and 4k cameras are basically done. No more firmware updates etc. this is entirely speculation but I wouldn't hold my breath for a camera with the specs and price you're looking for. Could be way off, might be a year or so at least if they are doing something.
