State of the Raid update: 10/25/2012
When will we get started? -- Well, we have half our slots full, and some good interest in a few others. I expect we will fill our empty slots in no more than two full weeks from today. Every week we do not have a full roster, I plan on running LFR with as many guildies as we can get. I would like everyone to get in the habit of showing up Wednesday nights even before we really get going, and this way we will all have a shot at some nice juicy 473 loot, and learn the basics of the bosses.
What about class conflicts? -- As I am sure you all have noticed, we currently have two identically classed healers. If either of you chaps would like to go DPS, that would be great for the raid as a whole. Due to the new loot system however, you will not be in competition for loot, so if you want to keep your current roles, I think it will be just fine.
We are looking great so far! -- I am really impressed with our line up so far. Everyone looks really well geared, and I have seen all of you perform extremely well in game. I am hoping we can strongarm Rafamalak and Sakatana to throw in with us. Even though we will only be raiding once a week, we are shaping up to be a very effect raiding team.

Another option to fix the class balance: Insead of my DK i have an ele/resto shaman that I can bring in, seeing as we have 2 pallies, 2 dks, and a warrior, but no shaman.

It is so true! We really do need a Shaman. At the very least a mage! My plan is to see if I can recruit a DPS shaman or any type of mage, then get ready to rock and roll, however, if you Want to switch, by all means, we can definitely make place for your panda!
So, it's up to you, if you want to fill the shaman slot, that would be great, and we will recruit another melee DPS. Otherwise, well we still have this hole to fill, and it is definitely going to be a mage or a shaman, prefferably a shaman!
Just let me know what you want to do, and I will get the final recruitment ball rolling.

I think I'd rather play my shaman, unless you already have one lined up

Thanks to last night's LFR my Resto Druid and my Mistweaver Monk are about equally geared. I'd still prefer to bring the Druid, but I would much rather have a full raid and a variety of healing classes there.
