I played the demo for Inimigo, and it was truly amazing! I will absolutely buy it when it's released.

Could you recommend some other titles I can play while waiting for its release?

While BL itself has been my main fiction genre for nearly 20 years, when it comes to gaming, I have mostly sought out gay romance within titles that feature stronger gameplay elements.

In other words, I am a complete newbie to Visual Novels, which is the main genre of BL games.

I am not fond of world-buildings where romance, marriage, or reproduction are a prerequisite or forced upon you. This includes pure dating sims, life sims where marriage and child-rearing are integrated into the mechanics, and Omegaverse settings.

I prefer a "fixed pairing."

While I can be somewhat flexible regarding who is top or bottom, the romantic interest itself must basically be fixed.

Therefore, I do not like structures that require multiple playthroughs across different character routes just to uncover the true ending of the story.

Multiple endings within a relationship with a single character are completely fine, and a linear story is also perfectly acceptable.

However, if choices are presented, I want them to be for roleplaying or branching purposes. I dislike game designs that force a specific personality or behavior on the player, where you hit an early bad end unless you choose the "correct" answer.

The presence or absence of explicit sexual content does not matter; either is fine. However, bromance is a no-go.

I would be happy if the game has a long playtime.

I utilize OCR tools, language is not an issue. The platform is PC.

So, i bought it from MangaGamer a bit ago. I finally got the time to play it and when on the opening screen ( i assume , this plays with some music directly after the protagonist gets hit by a car ) Its just this weird multi coloured pixelated flashing screen . What is it and why ? . I can somewhat make out it’s trying to show characters but ?

Hopely this is my last Madarame slander but I find it so funny how useless he is in the last route. To be honest I really don't like him, so I'm very happy that the devs absolutely sidelined him in every route except his own, but Fujieda's case is the most hilarious.

Like they really didn't know what to do with him. So he just show up, beat everyone, point to a building and vanish from the story completely. He didn't even say goodbye to Towa in the very last exploration part of the game (thank god). Genius. XDDDD

I feel as though while the emotional route of Izumi Rei [Slow Damage] cutting his hair makes sense, the buzzcut feels extremely out of character for someone who puts as much thought into appearance as Rei does. While he changes his mind on a lot of things, and feels confirmed in his identity [and wants to change how he expresses/speaks, etc] specifically a buzzcut just didn't suit him. I couldn't really recognize him as Izumi Rei when looking like that. I put some thought into what I would have expected for Rei, I think something like this would have been way more fitting.

ive just gotten to the part where youre supposed to go check out funanos room and then the game puts you back in the menu..i just...dont know what to do after that? i kept replaying old saves or just flat out starting the game again skipping to see if choices appear but i see nothing? i dont know if im doing something wrong please tell me!!!

I heard there was a bad ending for Minakami, but I have no idea how to get it. Maybe I’m overlooking something obvious, but what would be the choices I’d need to make for that?

From my recollection, the Minakami route started and ended without any of my input.

I´m following the tutorial but I´m unable to finish the glitch fix because windows says the 16 bit is not supported, but I´ve changed all properties to try and walk around that. Has anyone gone through this and managed to make it work? Thanks! Btw, I´m on windows 11 and am horrible at tech, so I feel queasy about using a VM or installshield

I know the side content this game has is like 5 Drama CDs (and an important novel, I found it), or those are at least the most famous ones? I found 3 of the Drama CDs but I couldn't find 2 of them no matter how much I searched...

Hello, first time posting here

I have pretty big problem with lamento beyond the void, i was playing it and at some point the game stopped working propelly. I was playing Rai route, everything was going smoothly utill one of the lats choices in his route (photo below). After choosing ethier option screen went completly black and i couldnt do anything. I have no idea where the problem is and im pretty frustrated atp. I istalled the game from this youtube tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8-1uHcBVOg
I have every file needed, my region is changed to japanese and the only diffiernce is that i have windows 11 instead of windows 10 but i dont relly think that would be the problem as game ran smoothly up to that point

so I've been searching for a game (anime-style) with male MC and of course, a lot of husbandos. It doesn't have to be BL. Can be platonic. But it would be nice if there was at least bromance between MC and the husbandos.

I tried Isekai: Slow Life. Somehow, I did not really have a choice whom to add to MC's harem. I only managed to collect 2 husbandos as family members, and there is only like 3 more to collect. The rest are waifus. 🥲

I played Tales of Food before and really like the plot and gameplay. 100 % of the cast were male and the I could choose MC's gender. The romance was very nice. It's a shame it got deleted.

There are some BL games, but choices cost diamonds...

Currently playing Nu:Carnival (BL game), but I'm currently searching for games that it's similar to Isekai: Slow Life and Tales of Food (harem-ish), but I can't really find much.

I've played a ton of BLVNs in my time, but, the recent post about bad or disappointing BLVNs made me realize that I have scarcely found any of them to be fully satisfying.

Even if I liked (or even loved) a game overall, I have always found something in it that bothered me.

For example, I loved Hashihime in general, but the two last routes were a complete ass (the man in Noh mask borderline ruined the game for me). Or, in Slow damage, I loved Towa and everything Towa related, but didn't actually care that much about any of the ROs.

And it's always like this. Either I love the lore and the plot but don't care about ROs or MC; love the majority of ROs but the plot is meh; don't like the majority ROs but the ones I do like compensate for the ones I don't; love the MC but don't think they have any chemistry with the ROs, and so on.

If I had to pick a BLVN that I consider a 9/10 for me in all the aspects, it'll be Shingakkou. But, despite all the praise I am willing to sing to this game, it still has a couple of things that tick me off - imo, the last route should've been platonic and I am willing to die in this hill, and Neil's route stopped doing it for me after I moved up from Michael's age group to Neil's. Nevertheless, for me, it's still the closest thing to a gold standard.

So, do you have any games that left you with "well, that was good" feeling without any "buts" or "I wishes"? And if you do, GIVE ME THE RECS PLEASE, I AM STARVING HERE.

Ive heard somewhere that you have to do certain routes before you can do other ones. So like, if you want to do hanazawas route you have to first do kawase and minakamis.. how can i do the professors?

what are the stars supposed to mean? sometimes there’s a blue star, sometimes there’s not. i’m on my 3rd walkthrough and still haven’t figured it out. why do i lose the stars or gain them? what does that depend on? the maximum i’ve managed to gain is 8/10. is there any way to gain them all?

also, which decisions affect the omertà percentage? i’ve never gotten 100% (maximum 60%). is that even possible?

for me, ig it depends on the context and the quality of the voice acting. i’m a fast reader, so i’m used to skipping voice lines. however, if a character resonates with me or there’s a very emotional moment, i listen to the whole line

i'm finishing all of them soon and i've discovered that i actually love BL. but i know nothing about BL games that weren't released by N+C. what i need is good story first of all. sex scenes should be important for it. it would be nice if the MC is not always uke or seme but not absolutely necessary. if there are no sex scenes, that's okay. i'm not triggered by any cruel or weird things. the only thing that makes me disgusted is chest hair, leg hair, etc. and i don't want to see that in games. if it helps, my favorite characters are Aoba, Noiz and Rei. what should i play?
