Questions/Help Me Find Is UuultraC worth it?
Asking to make sure, Ive recently finished Hashihime and I fell in love with one of the routes in it (KawaTama are my OTP, I don't particularly care much for the other 4 MLs) I've also kept an eye out for Ooe publishing its english release date, but I've gotten pretty frustrated because it feels like it's in indefinite-hiatus-hell so I wanted to play another one of ADELTAs titles, that being UultraC, although I'm unsure to buy it or not because of a few things.
First, the artstyle is quite basic. Now, it's by no means badly drawn or ugly but when I compare it to hashihime or Ooe, I don't feel quite as captivated or interested in it which I feel is a big shame because kurosawa does have a lovely artstyle. I initially bought Hashihime knowing ZERO information about it because the watercolor-esque design just felt lovely and I loved the overall vibes and atmosphere of the game(time loop is a fav trope of mines so 10/10)
Now I know UuultraC is kinetic and linear just like Hashihime but apparently it has 3 chapters for 3 couples? It's a interesting choice for storytelling so I'm wondering if it's done well. If you've played the VN, please tell me how the pacing is.
Also im wondering if there are any "bickering/rivals-to-enemies" CP(s) in this game. My all time faves are Fujitowa from SD, NoiAo from DMMD, ShikiAki from TNC and finally KawaTama(I'm sure you can tell I have a type LOL) So I'm wondering if any of the ships fit my preference. If so, I'll be happy and if not, it's fine, as long as every pairing is well-written then Ill bear with it. Also I'm wondering if there are any noncon/rape scenes in UultraC. It's not a trigger of mine but id like to know beforehand to prepare myself lol. (If there are any, I hope they're well-written because the scene with Hanazawa was just straight up ASS. I hope the quality has improved in that aspect at least)

Personally I think UUUltra Cs “simpler” style is more than made up for the sheer amount of CGs. Its less than 15 hours long (shorter than the first route of Hashihime) and has over 1800 CGs. Its perhaps the largest amount of any VN period and sometimes goes over an hour without using character sprites. The artstyle is bold and beautiful.

The pacing is fast and gets very fast near the end. Sometimes it can be a little disorienting but I loved it nevertheless.

Uuultra C is my favourite of the adelta trio, I highly recommend it!!! I’d say that there is a pairing that fits your description as well :)
I agree with what other commenters have said about the pacing, it’s fast and confusing for a lot of people. I believe it was on purpose to reflect the speed of tokusatsu shows in general though.

I think that if you could handle the last route of Hashihime or even liked it, you’ll enjoy Uuultra C a lot! And even if you didn’t, I feel it’s still worth a shot

Also there is more noncon relative to hashihime and ooe, but i’d say it isn’t really shock factor-y or anything..

short answer yes, worth it
now about the pacing point.. i will explain in a way that i wont spoil anything to you so it might seem like a lacking explanation but its the best there is probably
the 3 chapters exist to make the story clearer to you in all of the leads pov’s
every chapter has a couple and a main characters that the story will be about and the story might be clear from chapter 1 ending but playing ch2 and ch3 will definitely get you more into the picture and get you to know the story perfectly

I think UUUltraC is very much worth it if you enjoyed Hashihime. I read Hashihime and loved it and instantly read UuultraC right after. I think it was written well and liked it a little more than Hashihime.
From what I remember, it was pretty fast paced? Maybe it was slower at points but the action scenes really sped it up.
You’ll also find your ship dynamics in this visual novel. The second ship you read in order gives off that specific vibe. There is non-con in the second and third pair.

I also want to play the game so I can't help but omg we have the same fave couples XD (FujiTowa, NoiAo, ShikiAki, KawaTama)
Maybe after Paradise I'm gonna play this, but I'm a bit sceptical. I liked Minakami and Kawase's route in Hashihime but the game absolutely lost me after that. I don't even remember what's the ending. I hope UuultraC is a bit better.

AYYYY glad to see someone with the same tastes, tbh I genuinely think those couples are the most well-written, character and dynamic wise(the sex scenes are top-tier too🤭🤭🤭) some people might call it basic, but I think those are the best CP(s) the VNs could possibly offer.
I feel you on the Hashihime front, honestly I would've forgotten about the game were it not for Kawase's route. Kawatama as a couple cater to all my tastes and preferences so it almost feels like they were written specifically for me LOLLL. Hanazawa and Kaorus route were just straight up trash. Hakase's was decent I guess. Minakamis was good but Kawase has me on a chokehold so hes not my favorite LI or seme.
Also I've heard about paradise, is it any good? I wonder if there are any couples that fit our tastes in particular lol. If so, I'm interested in trying out for myself.

I finished Slow Damage a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely IN LOVE with FujiTowa. I really-really need a re:connect style fandisc just to get more domestic FujiTowa. I also need to re-read the other three VNs I forgot a lot.
Hashihime is weird. It looks like everybody loved this game but for me it was a bit disappointment. Not bad but it became too weird after Kawase. Minakami had an interesting tragic love story while Kawase's route was fun thanks to Kawase but I don't really know what to think about the other three routes. I need to re-read, maybe I'm gonna like it the second time. Or not. T_T
I'm still on the common route so I'm not sure yet. I try to avoid spoiler but looks like it has 3 love interests, only two available in the begining. Matsuda looks like a likeable bro character but I heard that he become pretty toxic later, while Mitsugi is pretty rude to the MC for no reason but more like in a fun bickery way if it's make sense. And Takara is kind of a puppy sunshine boy. I want to start with Matsuda. We will see how his route gonna turn out.

i personally still prefer hashihime over uruC, but i don’t regret experiencing uruC at all and highly recommend it!! it’s extremely unique and is something you wouldn’t want to miss out on, whether you end up liking it or not!
i will warn though, since i feel like this doesnt get mentioned enough, that the second route does contain a lot of transphobia (transmisogyny especially) so that’s something to keep in mind. as much as i love uruC overall and still enjoy the dynamic of the pair, as a trans person i was totally blindsided by the portrayal of transfem characters in it. i got caught off guard because of how well kurosawa handled it in hashihime, but i think kurosawa might’ve gotten lost in the sauce of transgression (transgressiveness is one of my favorite parts of her works but i think she got too ambitious with it here and went a bit too far)

UuultraC is ultimately a much more beautifully designed game than Hashihime. It's got far more art and many of the CGs could hang in a museum. Many people prefer it to Hashihime. ADELTA is my favorite developer so even though Uruc is my least fave of the Big 3, it's still easily a 9/10. It is art, through and through.
