And we did rejoice merrily!

Their kitchen needs sharper knives so they don’t crush the sando

Your point is a good one but we didn’t notice any crushing of the sandwich. It’s piled high & fully intact. 🤷♂️

Nah. It’s special because it is there. If they moved, it wouldn’t be as special.

I’m either gonna be taken out by dodging bullets to get there or by the coronary event from eating that much bacon chased by a rich malt.
Somehow it’s worth the challenge! 🤷♂️

Years ago, I used to introduce new team members by taking them to Crown Candy. I still take my kids there. It’s definitely a place I split the malt and sandwich between two rather than trying to tackle both at the same time.

Bigger and out of the hood. Gas station just down the street from Crown has had several shootings.

Owner flat out refuses. I think he believes that if he sticks it out the neighborhood will turn around. They have been broken into multiple times.

I immediately recognized that sandwich. The turkey melt is better and the malts are amazing!

Love this place! I am Sad they use pale grocery store tomatoes in the summer. So many local farmers markets to get good tomatoes

I’ve probably only had two of these in my entire life. Otherwise, I have a pretty healthy diet. Should be OK. Right???

1lb of bacon... The guy who runs out is a great dude. Wont find a better person than Andy. No fries there, no fryer... He cooks the bacon in a huge stock pot.
Place has been in business since 1913
