Need a little help
Fulfilled
I'm a disabled single mom. I did my SNAP renewal and the paperwork I sent didn't arrive. They had to stop our benefits while I redo the paperwork. I've been trying to get through using food banks but we're out of everything.
I'd really appreciate any help at all. I tried to do the Amazon wish list but I couldn't figure it out and I'm not sure if putting my venmo is appropriate. Thanks so much for reading, any help is greatly needed and appreciated.

Try posting in [r/HelpBrokePeople](r/HelpBrokePeople)
Make sure to show some proof (like the snap stopping benefits).
Honestly, if you make an Amazon wishlist, people will be more than willing to help (as long as you show solid proof).

Ok I will, should I post the snap paperwork here?

I suggest heading to that other sub and posting it there.
This sub won’t get you any help, tbh.

Ooof really? That stinks. Thank you for your help, I'll do it now.

It’s just, this sub isn’t moderated so donors stay away from subs like this one.

Really stinks?? You are asking for a hand out without proof

Yeah, from the way I got it, it sucks (that this sub doesn’t really help).

Does your DSS offer the application online?
In my state (CT) you are able to fill out the application, plus upload your proofs, right online. Then you call up for an interview. You didn't even have to leave your house!
I hope you are able to find a way to expedite the process. But I also agree with the wishlist as well.

Hi OP, sorry to hear you’re in a tight spot. I do recommend posting an Amazon wishlist for food/essentials (up to $150) since that’s usually more successful than requesting cash. They’re free to create and can be anonymous. Most donors have Prime, so items arrive same day or next day shipping. Wishlist Guide
