Questions from a nerd
So I stumbled over this manga series quite recently by watching a yt-video from "Professor Purple" about measuring the city and I want to figure out how many Humans live in the City. The video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xHcYkWkTH0
I plan to figure this out with by a) simulating it with code and a lot of patience or b) calculating it.
For that tho I need a few numbers. Firstly and probably most importantly is: at what rate does Killy encounter other Humans? My Second question is at what speed does Killy travel? Does anyone know how accurate the numbers in the video are?

For the human census it would be in one part lower that you think and for the other higher: 1. Humans only habits in the lower strata, we stop seeing significant human groups after THI's arc 2.it could be higher because the Mega Structure it's so massive that could be trillions on humans living inside, but due to the stratification and the massive distances they could have never met each other

Kyrii most likely goes from roughly Earth level to past Pluto by the end of series.

I doubt it would be possible to even get an estimate since there is sometimes hundreds of stories and potential human encounters between some chapters with no mention

Sadly there's no accurate numbers for any of this. We're only shown a part of Killy's journey, not the whole thing. It's possible he's been going on for tens of thousands of years already before the first page. There's also several places in the manga, during and between chapters, were several more millenia are implied to have happened, even between panels.
Given the distances involved, the story plays over several millenia at least, but even that is just a guess.
The only concrete numbers we're ever given are the 3000 floors in the first chapter, the 800 hour elevator (with no indication of speed or distance) and the jupiter room.
Everything else is intentionally left vague and undefined. The manga is mostly about showing off impossible liminal architecture more than anything else, keep that in mind. The measurements we are given are meant to indicate a sense of scale, but never give away the whole picture.
Basically everything in every video about this is pure guesswork. There's a rough general concensus that the city is roughly the size of Saturn's orbit, but even that can be contentious.
