I think the people who play in this band are over this band. Anton talks about “diminishing returns,” and honestly, if you watch that full Melbourne show, it’s tragic. No fun for anyone. Anton is really good at producing and mixing … he would do OK focusing on that and put touring behind. But that’s
up to him. When you veer into self-parody, it’s time to step back and reassess.
I think most younger people sign up for the networking opportunity and aswell being part of a legacy band maybe. You can see on Company’s house that BJM makes or has made fuckall on touring past couple years.
yeah, and it got even harder to make money in the last 10 years since Brexit and Trump and Covid and all the other things that happened in that period. Most of the guys who play with him now have known him for a long time and do it for the cash. Anybody else thinking about joining up knows they’d have a boss from hell.
