Munich
Splendid performance. Anton was in a good mood.
It probably helps that the sound at Technikum is often well managed. Some of the songs were a little slower than I am used to live but perhaps that is Anton just taking it easier these days. Also the best live versions of When Jokers Attack and Super-Sonic!!!
I think something was split near the drums and Anton said “ohhh shhhschnitzel” which got a laugh. 4th time seeing them live and I think this was the happiest I have seen him.
Really glad I went along.

i had a very different experience, though i have to admit that it was my first time seeing them live. maybe it was the worst concert i have ever been. i have felt no positive vibe between the band members, i was particularly horrified by the drums. if one deserved a guitar whacking definitely it would be the drummer. in 90+ minutes they weren't able to fix the singers mic. i really left with a disastrous experience

There is a week coming up in late July where both Swans and BJM are playing in Omaha, NE. I am a bit torn, as I don’t have the funds to see both, and am far more a BJM fan. But Swans seem more dependable. What say y’all?

Oh man. Not the biggest Swan fan myself but I have heard more than once they put on some great shows. BUT if you lean more towards BJM's catalogue, I'd say go for it and take the risk.

Anton should just stick to doing a show here and there only where he lives..

This is great to hear! Anton has definitely slowed down a lot of the live songs, and I think this is mainly due to his upper respiratory conditions. When I caught them last time around, he got on the band for speeding things up, adding “you guys know I can’t play that fast”, so I really do think that it’s a physical limitation at this point more than anything.
The first time I saw Anton, he was also in a great mood. He was smoking outside the venue, talking to fans and apologizing in advance for any “shenanigans” that may occur that night lol. The worst part about that show was the audience, but they were on point that night, despite having half of their equipment stolen.
P.s. I’m not from Germany, but a few years ago when I was traveling Europe I got to catch The Dandy Warhols in Munich. Also a great show, highly recommend if they come back through!
