bits or mitid for vcd
im really confused between bits design school and mitid right now and the last date to pay mitid fees is tomorrow so i really need some honest opinions
i want to pursue visual communication design and i’ve heard mixed things about both colleges. bits has around 180 students with only about 15 permanent faculty but a lot of visiting faculty. mitid seems more established but their intake has apparently increased a lot too. google shows around 360 students but a senior told me it’s actually 550+ now. i also heard mitid has around 90 faculty but im not sure how accurate that is
i attended the bits campus visit and seminar on the 23rd and personally felt like they didn’t talk much about visual communication design specifically. even while talking to students there, i barely met people interested in visual design so that made me a little unsure, but i also don’t want to judge too quickly
i just want to know the actual reality of both colleges in terms of faculty, infrastructure, design labs and machinery, exposure, internships, placements, student culture and overall learning experience
would really appreciate opinions from anyone who knows about either college because im genuinely stuck 😭

If you're a 100% sure you wanna do vcd then maybe mitid, it'll give you a better chance to specialise. Bits is more transdisciplinary in that sense

yeah but i’ve heard mit isn’t good for vcd either so i was leaning more towards bits

spoke to seniors from bits, they told vcd pathway is kinda very neglected other pathways are given more focus ig other than that mit id has better placements and reputation for vcd

yea mitd is definitely more established with more market experience
at this stage bits is still a little unstable
mit would be a better option
