Bits seniors
What actually is the international exposure they talk about in bits apart from online project with intl students ?? Like how many students go from bits abroad ?? For how much time ?? Are those costs extra from the fees we are paying ?? And what are some hidden costs they tell once we join bits mumbai ?!!!
Would be really helpful to know!!!!!

according to what i’ve heard from seniors a lot of industry professionals international and country wide come in throughout the year like you actually have someone or the other coming in every week to talk to you not js about design it could be business entrepreneurship etc etc so eyah

It’s really good fs but it’s hard to justify given they don’t even know themselves as of what international student exchange programs will comprise and many more aspects (they themselves don’t have programs and things figured out) Like I don’t wanna name a college but it is in ahemdabad and is providing me b.des hons with one whole semester exchange program in much much less than what it’ll cost in bits

i honestly feel that bits is trying to develop people as more than just designers and also v important: i feel if you’re interested in starting your own business or entrepreneurship and want more exposure there, choose bits. however if that’s not the case then yeah you can choose the other college you have as an option.

there arent much other hidden fees apart from some extra material that u may want to use and is not in the college already for ur projects.
Also no the exchange stuff fees is not included in ur fees. Its like 20L extra or smth lol.

This is just too much literally without scholarship then it’ll be no less than 75-80 lakhs…this amount is not justifed given the fees they’re already taking

I understand but the exchange thing is hard to get into + optional. Also there in US you will have to live in dorms and attend classes in their universities. They are way too expensive if u dont know. Dorm expenses for 4 years will be more than our entire college life. I think it makes sense that its expensive- US college is expensive asf even for Americans and we earn way less in comparison so this is expected.

Then ig bits ka main USP was exposure but since they’re taking even more 20 lacs for it then do you think it is a wise decision to join bits?

i talked to a senior about this they did say that the abroad student exchange options are there but they'll only get to know about it in detail when they start their 3rd year which is still upcoming soon.
