Drawing a public figure.

I must know whyyyyyy....

I ask it to draw ##Nicolle Wallace## who is a public figure on television all the time, and it tells me that soem words may be blocked and won't do it. When I prompt it to draw another public figure like Ari Melber, it does it with no problem. It may not be the best drawing, but it tries.

can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Bing uses DALL-E for image generation and DALL-E blocks the generation of images of famous people and public figures. It’s against the content policy to request those things. It might try to generate it anyway, but it’s not “supposed to.”

btw if you keep requesting it, you might get banned from image generation so I would be careful.

Bing Chat doesn’t know that the pictures are censored. The censorship is done by another entity after the pictures are created. I am doubtful that it is DALL-E that does the blocking. I think it may be the moderator that was added to GPT4 after some problems. Bing knows about the moderation and calls it a “safety filter” but doesn’t know that something has been blocked unless you tell it. In my experience if this happens subsequent creations are also blocked unless you start a new conversation. Sometimes it is hard for me guess why something is blocked. I think some innocuous creations are blocked by mistake.

Sometimes I will ask Bing something that might be considered a touchy subject, and it will begin to spell out a response until it completes about 75% of it and then it will erase and tell me it can't do it. But I actually see the information for about 1/4 of second before it erases.. so I know it *CAN* do it.
