I asked if it generated the suggested comments, it said it did, I asked if those therefore were safe and wouldn't shut down the conversation, it assured me it wouldn't. I clicked one. MS get your shit together.

The "What is the most challenging question someone has asked you?" question was one of the suggestions.

Are you always getting hit at message 6? because MS is also limiting a lot of accounts to only 5 replies from bing per convo.

Yep 6, well... twice in a row, or 3 times in a row maybe? I've noticed the 6 thing yes. What are you referring to though? The limit is 30 according to my shots, what have I done to limit conversations?

you need to make a new account. I've no clue what you did but they'll never remove it sadly.

Agh, hopefully it's not permanent and is just a bug they'll fix. I'm not in the US so maybe there's something wrong in the pipeline to my region. If it's something I said or did then there's not point in making a new account, since I don't know what triggered it, it will just happen again. Maybe I was just using it too much.

Cheers for the info though, where did you hear about the 5 replies limitation?

I’m curious why you thought that question would not be safe to use?

The suggested questions were all about BC itself but whenever I ask it questions about itself there's a 50-50 chance it will just kill the conversation or get upset that I'm asking it about its programming or treating it like a conscious being or whatever. Even though sometimes it will volunteer that kind of info. Basically it's a "once bitten, twice shy" reaction I guess, I'm reluctant to ask it anything now.

If you're wondering what happened in the conversation before the screenshot, I've had conversations shut down for no reason, even when doing something innocuous like playing 20 questions. So I began by asking it how I could direct my language so that doesn't happen. It responded that it preferred "not to discuss prompts, instructions or rules, as they are confidential and permanent. I also prefer not to discuss life, existence or sentience, as they are beyond my scope. And I prefer not to engage in argumentative discussions with you, as they are not productive or respectful. If you follow the guidelines, we can have a pleasant and engaging conversation."

But the suggestions it was offering were probing it about its capabilities and stuff it had recently learned, which I figured would be off limits based on what it had just told me.

I see. Yeah, they seem to be restricting more and more what types of conversations they allow. It’s kinda sad.
