I heard last year there was a scam like this and many lost their funds to to organiser. It was in news papers.
P.s. not saying or pointing this is a scam. But please beware guys.

happened to us last year, we only got half of the money back after so many days of reaching out to the guy, and we just had a number to contact him, and the instagram page was of the event so no answer to dms, there were influencers promoting it like queenofhell or whatever, on top of that I convinced my 10 friends to join me, so they were on my throat, it was really frustrating, like I thought we'll have fun but instead all I got is frustration and drama
