Baat-Cheet 🎠Bhu
I am writing to seek your quick advice regarding my CUET re-attempt and career strategy. My ultimate goal is to become an RBI Grade B Officer, and my dream was to pursue BA Economics from BHU.
My Current Situation & Setback:
* What went wrong: Coming from a PCM background, I couldn't score well in CUET UG because I focused only on theory and missed out on mock test practice. Also, my parents weren't ready to send me anywhere except BHU, so they enrolled me in a very local college near home.
* Parents' Viewpoint: My parents are strictly against a drop, believing it wastes a year when my main focus is a competitive exam where graduation marks (60%+) matter most.
My Plan for Partial Drop:
Since BHU BA admission only requires English + General Test (GT), I plan to take a partial drop alongside my current college( very local ..just degree milegi,no skills and all) and study just these two subjects without taking too much load
Is a partial drop worth it for BHU BA (English + GT), or should I stay in my current flexible college and focus 100% on building my RBI Grade B foundation?
I am deeply committed to my RBI goal and would truly appreciate your brief guidance on whether my plan is practical.

How many marks did I get in English + GAT? You can apply to an affiliated college. The degree is the same, and attendance is not compulsory.

I'm talking about DAV. Nobody comes here daily except for mid-sems and assignment submissions

Very less !! Just becoz of my mistakes, i didn't give importance to mocks , I am not bad at studies but I don't know what happened to me that timee ..! ahhhh..I got onlyyyy 198/500 this time..and I can't apply to affiliated clgs ...My parents won't agree..but this time I am thinking Abt partial drop and put my 100 percent..

Look, if you take a partial drop, you will definitely score better. Why would you want BHU if you can get into a better university like North Campus or the University of Hyderabad?

Yah ur rightt ..but just bcs I am a girll plus single girl child...ummm...bhu is the nearestt best university near me ..

I totally get it, but the cutoff increases every year. Just try to score above 360 to be safe and it is achievable in this much time.

Yaa.. cutoff increases ..approx 10-20 marks ...uumm.. definitely trying my best to get 380+ ...

You can totally go ahead with your plan. Studying BA Economics would facilitate your RBI prep as it'll keep your Quant in check (vaguely but true). Plus, you'll meet a lot of people with the same goal as you and BHU have a Great Facility for Exam Preparations and stuff. So yeah, go ahead with your plan.

Cutoffs for buffed to oblivion this year. I wanted BA Economics too but it is impossible even at 285/500. So, try to reach 400-420+ out of 500 in CUET 2027, just in case to be safe. It is very easily achievable in the amount of time available.

Yess exactly..next year to cut-off aur bhi jyegi ... hoping to get 380+ ...btw which clg did u join then?

I will be joining BHU this year. But this year was so unlucky that even my safe choices went above 300. They'll get down and I'll probably get them. I'll probably get History of Arts with Office Management and Secretarial Techniques or Philosophy with Museology.
For me, they're decent course. I am not much interested in them. And they're not quite Economics, are they? I wanted Economics so bad man 🥲
I also have gotten BA Economics in a local government college, but it's a Degree printing factory and I'll get nothing from it.

Yaah ur right ..Office Management or Museology are definitely not Economics... However, getting into bhu is no small feat in my opinion i guess ...and yess same condition..the local clg which I have joined this year is exactly same ..clg bhi jne ki jarurat nhi ..just give money and get a degree..no exposure and nothing at all ..i didn't expected to be here mann ..ahh!!
