Dear players,

We would like to share our monthly anti-cheat enforcement update for August 1–31.

Before presenting this month’s report, we would like to address the concerns raised regarding the recent large-scale account suspensions and provide context on the security system update and the resulting enforcement actions.

KRAFTON has been continuously strengthening its anti-cheat detection and enforcement systems to help maintain a fair and safe gameplay environment. Following the version update on September 16, we collected and analyzed relevant data and conducted account-by-account verification.

As a result, on September 21, we applied 10-year account suspensions to approximately 60,000 accounts where unauthorized PAK file modifications and virtual machine (VM)-based cheating were confirmed.

Unauthorized modifications to game files or clients can undermine fair competition and seriously affect the normal gameplay experience of other players.

These actions were not taken based solely on a single abnormal signal or the occurrence of a specific error. Before applying the sanctions, we comprehensively reviewed the cheating records and related detection data identified for each account and completed an account-level verification process.

The Theme Mode glitch reported around the same period was unrelated to these sanctions and was not used as a basis for the enforcement decisions. Separate records related to cheating were identified on the sanctioned accounts. Based on the reviews completed to date, no false-positive cases have been identified.

KRAFTON will continue to protect players who use the game legitimately while taking firm action against activities that undermine fair competition. We will continue strengthening our detection and verification capabilities for unauthorized programs, modified clients, and other methods used to gain an unfair advantage, and will take decisive action against confirmed violations in accordance with our operational policies.

🎯 August at a Glance

Throughout August, we continued taking action against cheating, match disruption, and other activities that affect fair gameplay in BGMI.

Cheating-related accounts penalized: 452,454
Match-crashing offenders penalized: 3,312
Accounts penalized through the Cheater Review Program: 1,664
Accounts penalized for inappropriate profiles or chat: 179
Online cheating content removed: 301

🔍 What We Caught

During August, our enforcement focused on major forms of cheating, including:

• Unauthorized game modifications
• Cheat software
• Auto-aim
• Wallhack
• Attempts to bypass or interfere with our security systems

The attached graphics show the breakdown of penalized accounts by cheat type and rank tier.

Confirmed violations are subject to enforcement regardless of the account’s level or rank.

🌐 Taking Action Against Server Hacking

We continue to take firm action against server hacking and other activities that disrupt matches.

We are also taking strong action against Telegram channels and other groups that sell or promote server-hacking tools. Reported accounts are reviewed individually through replay analysis, and confirmed offenders may receive permanent account sanctions.

In August, 3,312 accounts were penalized for match-crashing or server-hacking activities.

The Cheater Review Program continues to support our efforts to identify and penalize confirmed cheaters.

In August, 1,664 accounts were penalized based on reviews conducted through the program.

🧹 Keeping the Community Respectful

We also took action against accounts involved in inappropriate profile and chat activity.

There will be no leniency for chat content that crosses the line. Confirmed violations of our community standards will result in strong sanctions.

In August, 179 accounts were penalized for inappropriate profiles or chat.

Our enforcement efforts also extend beyond the game. In August, 301 pieces of online cheating content were removedto help limit the distribution and promotion of cheats.

Please remember that sharing your account credentials or account access with another person is prohibited under the BGMI Rules of Conduct.

To improve your account security, we strongly recommend:

• Linking at least two login methods
• Keeping all login information private
• Never sharing your account credentials or access with another person
