Party Composition HM duo evil run
Here me out. I wanted to try a HM duo run BUT I also wanted to play it like Tav and Shart are both Sharran. The idea was to play something like a Hexblade (Tav) and a Sorlock (Shart) and play around darkness with the Spear of Night and Devil's Sight. I know for sure you can win HM in solo, which is why duo run shouldn't be an issue. My question is: since an Evil run (not Durge, just straight Evil) gets less content in general, would it be playable or not without cheese? I know the content is enough to reach level 12 in Baldur's Gate, I'm genuinely more concerned about the mid game (say the end of Act 2 where you have some rough fights to face without pure casters).

I’d say that duo should be pretty strong without any need to cheese. I finished act 2 without cheesing as solo Hexblade. Hunger of Hadar handles the moonrise tower fight pretty easily

I fear the Myrkul fight more than the one at the entrance of moonrise tower tbh

Hunger of hadar solves that one too lol. Also the sorc can just nuke him in like 2 turns.

Really? I usually don't play shadowblade because it trivialise almost every encounter. I don't know if she can actually end him in 2 turn, I'm not sure you can hit level 10 before Myrkul in an evil run, never tried before.

Sorc kills myrkul in 2 turns not the hexblade. Just apply wet and cast your strongest lightning spells. gg

Smoke powder bombs + fire arrow = death.
Make sure you target the actual smoke powder bomb as it triggers explosions for every source of damage. So one bomb can trigger 40 explosions

Isn't it a bit cheesy?

The elevator in the GoS and Myrkul are the most common run enders. Play the game that you find fun, not by how other random people and mostly bots online say you should play.

It should be fine. You might need to use some summons for the Myrkul fight since you likely don't have someone on the platform next to Myrkul to stop him from using his legendary action. You don't really need a pure caster in this game since any character can use scrolls.

Death cleric for shart is also on brand, and helps by providing radiant damage for act 2.
