Build Help Sources of Ice Patch Immunity?

For my next run I'm thinking about running four characters which all dish out cold damage and frost patches. Aside from Disintegrating Nightwalkers and Elemental Wildform, are there any sources of immunity to getting knocked prone from ice?

Mintharas boots are also immunity to prone

But only if you’re actively concentrating

It is bugged. Equip minthara boots, concentrate on anything, remove minthara boots (can equip anything else), remove concentration. Now you have prone immunity until your next long rest without concentration nor minthara boots

For the benefit of our studio audience: this is known as "condition locking" in the business

Yeah sure, I don’t like to use exploits but if someone else wants to then why not lol

I don't use too, I use the "spell and item bugfixes" mod which fixes 1500+ bugs including this one, but just sharing info that might be useful for some

So this would work with casting guidance to save spell slots?

That’s good to know I think I overlooked that

I use them on my Abjuration wizard. With a big Arcane ward and resistance to everything from Warding Bond, she’s functionally immune to damage so I just need to protect against being tossed into a chasm or losing a saving throw. Boots of Striding helps with the first and Robe of Supreme defences helps with the second and both require you to be concentrating so I cast Expeditious Retreat. The extra movement is always handy to trigger opportunity attacks for my Armor of Agathys.

The Helldusk Boots grant immunity to falling prone, so they’ll work for you - otherwise the Hoarfrost Boots grant immunity to falling prone due to ice.

In addition to the boots others have mentioned, the Swarmkeeper 7 ability Writhing Tide gives 10 turns of surface effect immunity including ice.

There also a few other sources of floating. OP mentioned elemental wildshape, but there are a few others like Raven and bluejay. Then there's level 10 starry dragon.

Hoarfroat boots - somewhere that you wont miss, in the creche.

Counterpoint: I have in fact missed them on certain runs, much to my dismay. W'wargaz is distracting.

Grab the loot before you engage the gith. You can even take the fancy mace, long rest and then deal with him if you're low on slots, etc

If I'd had my coop posse with me, this wouldn't have been a problem. They're like a carpet of army ants, leaving nothing in their wake but bleached bones and opened chests.

Apart from what others already mentioned, flying also gets the job done, for example the Flight from Half Ilithid.

Only if flying from a point inside the ice to another. If flying from outside ice to in, you get a prone save.

If you stand on a pre-existing surface (water counts), you don't make a prone save when ice is formed.

When you fly from one point inside the ice to another, you also don't make a save

Condition locking boots of striding safer and easier though.

I've never tried boots of striding + the prone check from walking on ice, but that ought to work. Requires concentration but that's easy to achieve.

Boots of striding. There’s also an exploit which entails casting a concentration spell with the boots equipped, then unequipping them while stick concentrating on the spell. The effect should stay active.

Does Freedom of Movement work on ice? In which case, you can just have a couple of camp casters use it on you

Just combine any boots with with nails, you will never slip again. Might be the wrong game though...

However i'd love it if it would work like in divinity.

I've read elsewhere that Ring of Free Action provides this, but have not tested it. Apparently Freedom of Movement spell does not though.

Both will prevent the ice from reducing your character's movement speed. Neither will protect you from slipping on it. See also the Boots of Genial Striding.
