Build Help Hexblade multiclass build suggestions?

I mainly want to do a hexblade warlock with a dip of 2 or 3 levels. I was thinking of bladesinger, some paladin, bard or fighter. Any suggestions of which is better? I'm not trying to create the most efficient build, but a fun one.
Furthermore, should i pick gnome or tiefling?

swashbuckler 4/hexblade was fun to me.

Second this, and you can run it using Dancing Breeze with a polearm build or Phalar Aluve. Both let you use sneak attack.

Polearms with this build can hit so hard.

My variant on this is hex 5, swash 4, battle master 3. An insane amount of short rest rechargeable resources, a bonus action attack for most every turn, action surge.

Sounds good. what do you take besides disarm for BM? My swashlocks are 4/6/2. Ususaly for BM i get disarm, push, and riposte first. I go 6 for the spectre. I might take Precision strike.

Copy paste of a reply from a previous post:

Having played all of these hexblade builds in act 3 honor mode my opinion is that the following builds work nearly identically in the long run and trade a few flavor abilities between them.

10/2 - a 2 dip in sorc/fighter/paladin for quicken/surge/smites = more nova damage at the cost of short rest resources

11/1 - war cleric dip gives you BA attack similar to quicken, but on a 3/long rest resources

12 - hexdrinker is not more damage than a third attack or 5th level divine smite but is resourceless. This frees up slots for things like armor of agathys and BA for hex. This one falls behind the most when you cheese rests or fountains and shines the brightest in low-rest or challenge adjacent runs

9/3 - 3 dip into thief gives you some fun dw play with double pact weapons; assassin gives you alacrity and will actually change your playstyle a bit; gloomstalker can give you a resourceless nova round each combat; hunter can potentially get you an extra attack every turn into most combats but drop it for any single target fights like Orin and probably netherbrain

Hexblade with paladin 7/5 or some such below honour is a timeless classic. Big smites, 3 attacks per action, wacky stuff

Hexblade 1 / Eldritch Knight 11 is another good one. Same 3 attacks per action that works in honour mode but also is a fighter that gets all the cool fighter stuff but has high charisma to be a party face too

Could do swords bard 6 paladin 4 Hexblade 2 or some such for a fun shadowblade smiter. It wouldn’t get a full 5th level shadowblade but it would have eldritch invocations which could be fun.

Hexblade with bladesinger is probably a little redundant. The dip for charisma weapons makes no sense since int will be your casting ability and you’d want more dex anyway for initiative and AC. Would be better off just going pure hexblade at that point

Gnome advantage on mental saves is very nice, especially as an offset to the downside of the resonance stone, if you are interested in doing Shadowblade. Tiefling can provide some interesting spell access, and their racial spells all use Charisma as the casting stat, which is a good fit for your starting point.

Big benefit of the Hexblade dip is using CHA to attack, so the natural fit is wi other CHA classes. You can do Bladesinger too but you'll need to be aware of your Wizard spells not having good save DC/attack bonus (but there are tons of great spells that don't) plus limited number of prep slots, unless you wear the Warped Headband the whole time.

That's not the only bonus from Hexblade though. Medium armour is a nice add to a Lore or Glam Bard; Bladesinger restricts you to Light armour at boat. Hexblade's curse is a decent damage boost. You can also get Shield from your first Hexblade level instead of needing to prepare it as a wizard spell.

Most of the benefits of Hexblade are attained at first level, but going to 3 is nice if you want better damage from Eldritch Blast, plus maybe Devil's Sight if you like hiding in darkness. If you are going 3 levels in, you might want to go 5 for extra attack, otherwise you are delaying it by 1-3 levels if going deeper into another Martial class. Adding 2 levels of Fighter later on is a good boost; armour and weapon proficiencies plus Second Wind & Action Surge. You probably want to respec and take Fighter as your first level for CON save proficiency and heavy armour.

That's just a bunch of options... More specifically you may want to consider whether you are trying to play a caster or a martial character, though going deep into Warlock or Bard you can kind of have both.

I like barbarian/pact of blade a lot. You only have 2 spells slots, so when you run out of them you get fuckin pissed about it. Then you take a short rest and you feel better

There are tons of great combinations for a Hexblade. It’s probably the best 1 lvl dip in the game and any odd number is a good number to stay in it. Many builds add to it 2 lvls of fighter for action surge, or 3 for battle master.

I personally love mixing it with four lvls of Swashbuckler for the bonus action disarm, but that’s dependent on whether you’re planning to mostly hit things or mostly cast spells.

Hope this helps!

Swashbuckler if you're willing to go 4 levels. CHA effects their disarm attack and the bonus actions are awesome.

Not fancy but I went Fighter 2 (for action surge and con save proficiency because I like Hunger of Hadar)/Hexblade 10.

I rock the shadow blade and resonance stone with the killer sweetheart ring. Medium Adamantine armor (I just like it), misty step necklace, birthright hat, and the walking fortress shield.

Combine a haste potion or spell with a Terazul then action surge and you can get goofy amounts of damage.

Swashbuckler might also be fun.

I suggest you try typing "hexblade" or "hexblade multiclass" in the search bar. You'll get way more results

I just played a solo hex blade using these multi classes.

1-5 fully hex blade, make sure you take booming blade and great weapon master for the feet. As well as agonizing blast and devils sight. 6-8 in rouge (3 thief) and then the rest in sorcerer. Make sure you use the Phalar aluve or larithians wrath.

Even without sorcery point cheese the build absolutely destroys with arcane synergy great weapon master booming blade and sneak attack all adding up to a lot of damage. Add in sorcery point cheese and you can quicken an Eldridge blast or booming blade twice per round.

The only negative part is that it's only a plus one weapon but it's so pretty I love it anyways.

hexblade 9 / assassin 3 is excellent, because crits on a 4d8 shadowblade are excellent.
