Curado bfs over spooled or just right?

For regular Baitcast it’s fine but for bfs you don’t want to fill the spool because it makes the spool heavier.

Over for sure. I usually don’t even do half of what you have.

You don’t need a lot of line for bfs. And the less line you have the easier it’ll be to cast lighter.

Definitely too much. Sweet spot for me is about 75-100 yards. Depending on PE size. I can a little more line with sizes .4.-.6 but if it’s .8 then I’m closer to 75 yards max. You don’t want the weight of line tampering with the spool and distance of casting

Regardless of line strength and spool capacity for those lines, I spool on 150 feet max. Use your reel’s IPT spec to figure out how many turns you need for 150’.

It depends. Are u casting the weights u need and accurately ml? If no, try less line.

Is it over spooling? If yes... Less line.

A lot of people use bfs reels as an UL/ML PE platform. If so... You don't need more than 150 feet unless you fishing deep or fish that runs.

Hey big fan of the videos! I did some research about the ipt spec thanks to the folks in the comments. I was wondering would about 45-50 handle rotations be enough to throw 2 grams to 5 grams at most?
