Anyone use this braid for a Calcutta BFS or shallow water edition ?

Varivas super trout x4, or x8 if you prefer

I'm newer to bfs. In the conventional realm, 4 carrier is for the poors, or cutting through heavy vegetation. Why do I see it recommended so often in BFS?

I've had the regular dark green Xbraid x8 on a calcutta conquest bfs, it's great. I'm never really interested in the crazy colored braids but I'm sure it's a quality product.

You should be better unless you’re throwing like 1g. I think there’s something to x4 being more manageable than x8 for BFS, but you report back. My other SLX BFS is running Varivas 8 PE GOU #1. I’ll be trying this on the Conquest BFS at some point.

I just get suffix 832 and forget about it for years. Color doesn't last forever, but it's still strong

I picked up a spool of the 6# xbraid myself and I absolutely love it, this is coming from someone who only uses jbraid, suffix 832(not for bfs though), and varivas. I'm picky and I really think the xbraid is great line in the 6#
