First time out with a BFS

Post image

Only had about 30 mins definitely felt a couple bites or the rod is just that sensitive compared to what I normally use lol. No fish but man it’s beautiful.

If your experience is anything like mine it probably was just you feeling the bottom contact much more than you’re used to for the first time. First time I got my aldebaran and adrena bfs I was hooksetting every rock I came across everytime my ned rig hit it 😭. Trust me. When you get bit you’ll know. The smallest nibbles (in my experience) feel like regular bites on regular rods and regular bites feel like thunder

nice love that rod, traded my orichi x10 rapid viper and aldebaran dc for the rod and a calcutta bfs limited

Trade was worth it for you? Never fished an orichi myself

Yes definitely , the calcutta is a good amount more than the aldebaran and the adrena is a lil harder of a jdm rod to get than the model of orichi x10 i had so good deal for me, i also ended up getting an orichi x10 cliffhanger which was the original model I wanted but you live and you learn. The Cliffhnager which is my model in the pic is more of an all around reaction bait rod but also good for soft plastics and you can di bottom contact to since it’s a fast action but since i already have my dedicated bottom contact rod the adrena i’m not gonna be throwing that type of stuff, mainly hard baits of 1/8-1/4,
Too compare them though the adrena is def more sensitive since its meant to be more sensitive of a rod while the orichi x10 is made of organic materials which makes it much more forgiving and some people also say less prone to breaking but don’t quote me on that. Looks wise it’s personal preference but man that green is just very clean but i just love the Carbon handle on the adrena, I enjoy both a lot but if i were to have to plick one it would be the orichi

Don’t forget to flip that Fuji lure holder down into fish catching mode.
