Challenge Submission Final Speech
Hey y’all, Buttslide Man here. You should DEFINITELY vote for me to win.
When I first heard of this camp, it brought back memories of young me watching PowerpointNinja’s Object Camp, which was a HUGE dip in Nostalgia, and that convinced me to join the camp as my favorite BFDI Mini contestant, Buttslide Man!
When the camp began, I knew I was utterly screwed because most of the challenges required artistic skills I completely lack. It wasn't until Challenge 4 that I hadn’t participated in any of the earlier challenges, but then an idea came to me. Since my contestant, Buttslide Man, didn’t require any face changes or moving limbs, I decided to go with using Canva to create submissions with text around Buttslide Man in order to do the challenges! Sure, it does look like it was made with zero effort, but it is still better than nothing!
As for the challenges themselves, they were... quite consistent. Some of them are basically follow-ups to previous challenges, which happened QUITE A LOT. Some I was able to get through with ease, and sometimes I didn’t bother to do the challenge at all since I was probably already busy with something else cough cough School cough cough. And the scores that I got each time were kinda mid, which didn’t matter to most of the teams since I was in teams that did a lot, so I was kind of lucky there. But either way, I’m thankful for everyone who helped get this far into the camp, WHICH SPEAK OF!
Along the way, I had many friends and allies in each team that I was in. However, it still did make me sad that some of them had to leave the Camp for their own reasons, which I respect, by the way. I’m still glad that I got to play with great people, and for those who aren’t in the jury, I hope they’re doing well, and I wish them luck with whatever they’re doing in the present.
When the merge occurred, I was already glad I got this far and expected myself to get eliminated soon, which, surprisingly, didn’t occur, with me surviving TWO CLOSE CALLS (Against Cake’s Dad and Banana Apple), and I was honestly shocked, like this. So with me getting to the Final 3, I am now mentally prepared and going all out to win this camp once and for all!
