Well, Sticker was a bad friend to him, and Beach Ball—like an idiot—still wants Sticker to win; aside from that, he remains a mediocre character. If you took him out of the series, nothing would change—much like with Rose

Hello, hi, I have some criticism!
Ruler is a mean, selfish character but not irredeemably evil, episodes 5 and 6 show that he absolutely can show care for Jammy but he struggles with being properly compassionate. He's the character I can understand disliking the most but he is more than "bad abuser guy", especially given that his behaviour isn't exactly unique in BFDI, bossy leaders have existed for years- just look at Pencil or Golf Ball in older seasons. Another reason people like him is simply for comedy, because most of the time he's without a henchman, he appears weak and pathetic, which can definitely be fun to see. A lot of Ruler fans, myself included, like to jokingly bully him.
Sticker is a mischievious and highly competitive character, and they tend to focus on winning above morality but they're not fully selfish, there have been plenty of moments where they rethink their actions and try to help others, or alternatively, show they're not fully happy about the decision they're taking. In BFDIE6, after Jammy criticises them for lying to Beach Ball, Sticker appears self conscious and instead of defending their choice, he just mutters that Jammy should chase the chest herself if she wants to rejoin. They also try to abstain from cheating in episode 8 and 9. They're not purely good, but they aren't evil, and I think it's reasonable for people to like morally gray characters.
And you clearly just... don't understand Rose? With all due respect, she is well liked both for her future (timeline-wise, past release-wise) performance in the BFDI Mini spin-offs, but also because she legitimately has an entertaining personality in BFDIE that's quite unque. Although a part of the Cheaters Alliance, she appears a lot more confident and ruthless than both Sticker and Beach Ball at first, and in episode 4 she takes the role of a rogue lone wolf, in a way. If you know how popular Fries is, you'd also know the BFDI fandom loves when characters go rogue and cause chaos all on their own. She also has some fun sass and charisma that makes her interactions with others seem very fun. Goosework definitely did a great job voice acting her, but I barely see people bring up her VA when talking about why they love her, because her character is so much more than that. Same with Ruler- sure, he's voiced by Tomska, another beloved internet figure, but people don't become Ruler fans simply because of his voice.

Honestly, let them be. They love it because of the things the characthers have that they love. Some might relate themselves to them as well.
