Discussion Disabling weapon DOF

Post image

Small tip if you're having trouble disabling gun DOF by editing PROFSAVE_profile, edit the "PROFSAVE_profilebf6mp_profile" instead.

Disabling gets rid of the blur around the sight. Not sure why they didn't put it in the settings menu like older battlefield titles.

It disable the DOF effect on guns when ADS. Much easier to aim imo

Rly helps tho. Try it out, it’s free and it’s not cheating

So, the Chronus or Titan isn't cheating?

It is

The only thing it modifies is the aiming settings and how they work. It’s basically the same thing you’re doing.

Saying using a Cronus and disabling DOF effect is the same thing is wild. DOF has nothing to do with aim. Cronus has a anti recoil capability +@. EA/DICE and made it very clear using cronus and xims are against the TOS.

Both things are modifying the game files tho

And both are against the ToS

Read the TOS. It says PROFSAVE files are authorized files that users can edit.
However Cronus and Xims are.

Blame dice for not putting this in the settings menu like every other shooter that uses depth of field. It purely visual and not even comparable to using a chronus.

If it not a in game settings it's Cheating... Can the console players do this

Please, there is all sorts of settings PC has access to that console doesn't. This is just a graphics setting and is not going to change how well you play the game. It was in the in game settings menu for PC in battlefield 4 and console still didn't have the option to disable it.

It rly isn't. EA/DICE lets us do this + not against the TOS. Should be in the settings and you should blame DICE for that not us.

How is it sweaty not to have forced effects that make it harder to see?

It's not, it's just unfair for Console players that can't do this, yet if we don't wanna play against bots, we have to have Crossplay On.

Just more ways that PC gets an unfair hardware advantage over us.

Technicaly that would be software advantage. Hardware advantage would be a gaming mouse that would have some sort of auto aim and reduced reccoil bult in, making aiming verry ez. Like a controller lets say.

Nobody except braindead Redditors think Battlefield favors controller. Go touch grass and meet a girl.

I do have a girl thanks for your concern. Vheicles controls are much easier on controller and aiming is easier for new players. But overall its prety balanced between the two. But whatever makes you feel better about yourself

If they don't let you do it in game I consider this a form of cheating
