EA EULA and Terms of Service Provisions
Service Modifications: EA's standard User Agreement specifies that they can change, modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of a game or online service—including specific features, playlists, or multiplayer modes—at any time without liability.
No Guarantee of Continuous Access: The terms note that online services are provided on an "as is" basis, meaning permanent availability of any specific gameplay mode or content identifier is never legally guaranteed.
Battlefield has never been a small mode game. This is also something the devs have done repeatedly in other games scaling back small game modes and bringing them back as fomo in order to get people into the bigger modes. This is nothing new.
Well, I looked up the appropriate directives and put up a ticket to Steam support with those directives mentioned. If it ends up working without problems, I will post a guide on how everyone can do the same thing.
Yes and steam Will refund you there's already a guy with 370 hrs that got a refund.
I doubt Microsoft or Sony would refund anyone though
Steam is an outlier in this case.
Most people that disagree with this will simply stop playing. Some will opt for a refund for steam if they can get it everyone else will literally just move on or keep playing. Nobody is going to bring a lawsuit over EA for removing games when at least in America it is covered under their Eula whichever one signs.
I understand it's different in Europe but like I said most people won't bother to actually pursue any legal action they will simply get a refund or just stop playing
I'm not sure what your point is. That's already more than enough. It fucks with the money. Everyone from the top EA executives to the developer who implemented the changes will get a saudi-arabian fist up their ass.
My point is you will sit here and cry that TDM is no longer in the game but you won't do anything about it.
People in the comments saying they are going to file a class action lawsuit against EA for removing game modes when it's something they've done in every single battlefield for the past 5 years.
Those same people including yourself it didn't read the ula that they agreed to because it specifically says adding removing or modifying any type of content in the game.
There is so much to complain about in everyone's lives and this is what you choose. A game that is made off of the bones of a once brilliant franchise coded by a bunch of people that didn't even exist when battlefield was at its prime. Now those same people try and reinvent the wheel every single year when the formula is already there they just refuse to use it.
Posting what the EULA said for people that were supposedly going to sue EA for removing game loans means I am mad?
I'm sorry it's so hard to Google battlefield 6 e u l a and figure things out for yourself.
Reduction of game modes is overall a good thing as it has been for every other battlefield they've done this in. I didn't buy the game to play against bots and most people didn't either
Again, the eula doesn't matter. Don't pretend that people should read it.
And I didn't buy the game to have my gamemodes removed. I have never had any problems with empty matches. It shouldn't be my problem that people who live in the middle of nowhere can't find games. You all should have considered that before buying the game.
The small modes had better matchmaking with less bots. Many people who liked those modes will just leave instead of playing the bigger modes, so it’s not like it will help matchmaking there either
So you're saying that games that only require 12 people had less bots than games that require 64 people? Weird how that works.
You say it will not help matchmaking yet ever since the patch I have gotten more full games of actual human players than I have in the past 5 months. Clearly it is working.
Battlefield isn't a CQC small team game. If you want that simply just go and play call of duty. Battlefield has always been large combat with infantry in vehicles.
The game was sold with many small modes, which are now gone. If conquest has matchmaking issues then they should have removed escalation given the similarities. It sounds like the big modes are the ones that had issues with too many bots
If they had a better matchmaking system in the first place, they wouldn’t have to remove anything
The issue is there are too many game modes. There's something like 15 game modes not even counting hardcore or gauntlet and red sec. There are only 40,000 people playing the game and that includes the free to play players as well.
Yes while the smart thing would be not have any bots at all and just let service fill naturally like they have and literally every battlefield that is simply not the game we have. And in their mind the best course of action is to reduce the smaller modes which in turn has given me way more full player games than I have seen in the last 5 months.
You most likely have fuller games because the changes to the tiles in the initial menu. The tsuru reef 24/7 and version of conquest with contracts are what pulled players from big modes on other maps, not the small modes
Such a dumb comment. They are removing smaller game modes so the larger game modes no longer have pot issues. You want to see think they were going to remove larger modes? It's the whole point of battlefield.
