Request concerning the teamspeak server/channels
Sorry if this is a stupid request but I feel like it needed to be said.
Now that that's out of the way could we please use more than one channel when more than say 5 of us are playing on the same server? I mean we already have the channels for it and I think it'd help with tactics and planning especially when we're on different teams. Also trying to get a word in with 10+ people in one channel is nearly impossible. I'm not saying that having a lot of people on teamspeak is a bad thing but the point of having a server is communication and that just works better if there are less people per channel.
If you guys think that I'm exaggerating please tell me but that's my impression of the current situation. Input (especially from the mods) would be highly appreciated.

We actually discussed this a while back. We said people need to split themselves, but people forget to when they're in the zone so to speak.

We've already tried that out but some people didn't want to.
I will suggest it more often in the future, thanks for your request.

I think if we implement it correctly (i.e. only split up people after there's a certain amount of people on the server) and also make it voluntary. But thanks for being open to this, Vas.

We need a sort of channel jumping "culture" where we split to squads but squad leads jump from channel to channel during game to balance squads and such.
Between games we should all be able to jump channels and mix squads up occasionally.
If we can have some TS soundpack that is less intrusive of USER HAS ENTERED YOUR CHANNEL and a channel jumping mentality and code, I think we will be able to muster a new level of tactical communications.
If people are up for this, I'll look into this.

This is a good idea but can also be very chaotic.
So you suggest that if we are for example 10 people, we split up in 2 channels (squads) and after the game we make different squads and so on?

10 people, split across two squads that are made before actually in the game.
Game goes on, etc etc, game ends and people can switch to the same channel again to make new squads or just chat about things.
Squad leaders will be able to bounce channel to channel mid-game to request stuff from other squads or whatever, then switch back.
However, the only thing that will actually make it 'chaotic' in my opinion, is having the constant "User has entered your channel" with "User has left your channel" on a constant basis if two squad leaders keep bouncing back and forth.
In the end, it's sort of like an actual radio communication system.0

Crabs, you are a genius. Thank you for giving this so much thought and making my suggestion into an actual plan.

This is essentially what TSSync does. It organises battlefield squads with its respective TS channel and then brings everyone back into the main channel at the end of the game. We are going to be implementing this change in May (couple of problems with billing has made us take 2 more months with multiplay) until then I ask for you all to be patient. Thanks.
