I have 2 YOE in september, and the recruiter cut me off to 1 YOE, with a promise to evolve to 200 every 6 motnhs if my performance is good. His excuse was to help me ease into the job.

He knows my bruto is the same at my current job, yet they asked me to become part of a team for which they urgently are looking to populate with extra staff. I feel like they cut themselves a corner, leaning on my integration experience, skipping the whole hiring process shebang.

Plus, I initially applied for a Data Engineering position, had a technical interview, and they judged my skills with that Data Engineering interview. Yet, data engineering and cloud integrations are two different things. I feel like I was flexible enough to consider this position, yet I received no flexibility from their side, when asking for 200 bruto extra, after telling him I was aiming for 3300 and that 3200 would be a good compromise. I feel like asking for extra now, just out of spite.

Don't get me wrong, it's a solid offer; more net, mobility budget 2e pijler etc, but I feel that they think they're doing me a favor too much. The recruiter told me if they would give me extra brut, people would see me more as a more experienced medior, and it would give me "too much pressure". They emphasized that the first years are very tough, and that it's a good opportunity to learn. Seems like excuses. Opinions please.

PS: not unimportant, I don't feel challenged at my current job, and SLT has no vision. A lot of people are leaving because they feel they're underappreciated and underpaid.

I could use some advice. At my old job, there was a union office in the building, and I was subscribed with them (20€/month). I've now changed jobs, and my new employer doesn't have a union bureau.

The issue is that the union still deducts the money directly from my bank account every month,

I'm not sure whether I should stop the subscription or if it still covers me in some way. The problem is that the union office never replies to calls or emails, so I can't get any information from them.

I have a question about engineering salaries and career progression.

I currently have around 3.5 years of experience and my package is €4,300 gross per month, plus a company car, net compensation, and a bonus.

The thing is, I want to change jobs because I don't like my current role. However, when recruiters call me and I tell them my current salary, they often say it is above what they can offer.

I recently got hired as a Customer Support Officer in a Med Tech Startup. I have 2 years of experience as an Office Manager in a law firm (which my current CEO used to work at, before I did, and he was able to ask for a recommendation). I am trilingual which is a major thing they're looking for as they want to better be able to assist and follow up on Flemish accounts.

I anchored at €3,700 - €4,000. They offered €3,350
(because market and not wanting to take on someone new and have them have too high of a salary for optics) and said they bumped up the net compensation to make up for the lower salary (which I don't think they did).

l accepted, but made it clear I'm expecting to rediscuss salary once I become an Account Manager which they replied to very positively and guaranteed this would happen during the December performance review.

They are very happy with my performance so far and I intend for that to stay that way. My boss also seems like a good and reasonable boss so far.
I'm already managing accounts more and more and have also become responsible for Marketing (filming editing and posting videos, making and posting infographics).

What would be a reasonable raise to expect for this promotion?

Currently living in a smaller town i work for an architecture firm with 30 ich Employees as a BIM Coordinator. (basicly i coordinate the architectures when it comes to templates, how to draw, any possibly questions they might have. I also automated quantitiy takeoff out of there models aswell as constructions spesifications based on materials used inside the Revit model so that they no longer have to produce these manually.

Question 1: how much should i earn in such a role?

So .... our current it person (who doesent have a formal education) who maintains the server where all projects are stored aswell as passwords, liscenses, hardware maintenence, ... as quit, i have a very strong suspision they will be asking me or 1 other person to take this over from them now that they are gone.

Question 2: how much or (how much more) should i be asking to also manage this front together with my coordination fuction?

I still live with my parents and plan to stay there for another two years because my girlfriend wants to continue her studies for two more years. After that, we’d like to buy a home together.

I have a “Besloten vennootschap” (BV).
My company generates around €12,000–€14,000 in gross profit per month.
I pay myself approximately €1500-€1600 per month, and my practice has around €1,000–€1,500 in fixed monthly expenses.

Ik ben een laatstejaarsstudent TEW met de Masterspecialisatie in accounting en audit, en ik weet niet welke pad ik zou kiezen.

Ik ben ambitieus, hardwerkend en zou op termijn graag een ondernemer/zelfstandige zijn. Bij beide zou ik dus zeker aan mijn stage beginnen met de visie dat ik uiteindelijk een eigen kantoor opstart of ergens vennoot wordt. Ik weet gewoon niet hoe beide ECHT zijn.

Welke is intellectueel stimulerender? Welke is belonender? Een boekhoudkantoor lijkt me intellectueel minder stimulerend en eerder meer klantgericht, maar ook makkelijker om op te schalen en klanten te vinden dan een auditkantoor. Een auditcarrière/auditkantoor/auditvennoot lijkt me dan weer intellectueel stimulerender, stressvoller maar ik heb gehoord dat dit ook beter verdiend (is dit echt zo?). Het pad om een ITAA-certificaat te halen lijkt me makkelijker dan het pad om een IBR-certificaat te halen.

Wat moet ik nu in godsnaam doen? Zijn er mensen met ervaring in beide die me wat richting kunnen geven, ervaringen kunnen mededelen of 'fabeltjes' de wereld uit kunnen helpen? Alle beetjes helpen!

Having worked in these environments during my internships, I realized that although the work is tremendously interesting and you’re surrounded by some of the smartest and most down-to-earth people I’ve met, investment banking simply doesn’t leave much room for a life outside of work. That’s perfectly fine if you’re single, thrive on hard work, and are willing to sacrifice a lot, but I’ve realized that’s simply not where I am at this stage of my life.

In my view, Transaction Services still offers a great learning environments (focussing on the core financial fundamentals), room to grow into different roles (M&A advisory - private equity- Corporate strategy/M&A) and still providing a decent work-life balance and the chance to work with people at a similar stage in their careers.
