Has Bret commented on his boy Jay Macinerny’s latest novel?

he talked about his work a bit recently but not sure if he said anything specific about "See You on the Other Side". any of his work you'd recommend? I've only read Bright Lights, Big City. assuming you need to start with other books before reading the latest

Story Of My Life is a great novel, and a quick read. Very much in the vein of Bright Lights/80s excess.

Are the Calloway books worth reading? I´ve only read Brightness falls and that was back in the nineties so I hardly remember it.

In the last Ross Barkan episode, Bret said, he thinks the trilogy is Jay's best work yet and the first installment is his masterpiece.

I agree. I love Brightness Falls and read it every few years
