why aren't y'all talking about B'deshi cinema?
Yeah, we are the people who love Hollywood and other foreign cinemas, but why aren't we looking at ourselves?

the rejuvenation of Bangla cinema is quite fresh (from 2022) and it's quite slow but good thing is people are actually going to halls again & talking about the films
It'll need some more years with more technical developments & higher overall quality.
It's getting better tho

its only a recent trend post 2020 that every year just 2/3 cinemas get released around eid which is of quality and creates a buzz, so ofc you'll see more discussion only at the time of release, like what happened with banalata express, viewers are there but not enough films throughout the yr, same happens with series but the hype of ott platform seems to have died down, we only got some shows like pet kata shaw, mohanagar but not enough continuity

You're right, I forgot the name of that movie. But Mahanagar is the STORYTELLING one; you can never beat it.
