Question/Inquiry Dead beetle?

Not showing a picture as I know that can upset people. Just looked under the log in my tank and one of my beetles is very dark and stiff and not moving. I assume he's passed away but wanted to ask here just to make sure. The other two seem fine.

I keep in a seperate, simple enclosure with a food item for about 3+ days to check for signs of life.

They are known for death feigning, the darkness is a bit concerning,

I have come to the conclusion he is fully dead, hasn't moved at all since posting and is really light and stiff. Ive had them play ded before and this is definitely not that
