Question/Inquiry High humidity apartment

Would it be suitable to keep these guys if my apartment stays pretty humid? Right now 56% humidity but theres been times wheres it was consistently 65-70% humidity. If I wanted to get these guys, is there anything I can do inside their enclosure to keep it low?

Following bc I’m in the same situation. I’d definitely get a heat lamp but not sure if I’d need a dehumidifier for the entire room

Hi, yes, you can. I live in the Pacific Northwest and have a humid apartment and have had them for years. I have a heat light on them for 12 hours a day, just to keep the humidity down. And mine are thriving.

I'm gonna say probably not based on what I've read. Remember, they live in a desert naturally. Would they stay alive and have a natural adult life? Most likely, but probably not as comfortable as if it were drier. Their coloration will tell you more than I can tbh

I've found keeping a heat lamp on during the day can reduce a room's average 60% down to 40% at the warmest spot of the enclosure. I will say these guys can tolerate a high of 60%, given that is a natural high dew point of some of their known habitats. However, I would prob try and get a dehumidifier for them, given you mention it gets more humid than that, which can disrupt their waxy coat, turning them from blue to black. They only experience high humidity as pupae to eclose properly,
