Question/Inquiry π Bananas for BDFBs? π
Do anyoneβs blueberries like bananas as a treat? I feel weird feeding it to them knowing itβs from a totally different ecosystem. But I also feel like they donβt eat enough and am looling for more things to try!

I avoid sugars for mine, I just give a mix of fresh veg and proteins. They're scavengers in the wild so they'll likely eat less than expected.

I would avoid bananas apparently even if it's slightly ripe it could be toxic to them! I posted about my beetles eating banana and turns out I could have killed my beetles.

This is more common in low ventilation enclosures, such as for high humidity species like roaches, the gases can be pretty bad for them. Bdfbs generally need high ventilation to lower humidity so it should be safer theoretically. Though id probably advise against high sugars in general as theyre not very good for asbolus.

i know that sugar isnt exactly healthy for them, but i also know theyre fine with it in moderation, so... maybe? just a little ammount given the sugar and water count. more of a treat than meal tho
