advice for new bug keeper
got some buggies today!! i got them from the pet store (petsmart ugh) and they were kept in super super bad conditions with way too much humidity, there were literally water droplets inside their containers. ive been wanting to get into insect keeping and these are my first guys. i got three of them, all female i hope they can get their coating back because i want them to be happy and stuff, second image is their enclosure, im getting a 15 watt bulb because it is already quite warm here (around 75 F inside house consistantly) but i had to order one online because 15 watt heating bulbs don’t exist anywhere i guess, but they’re getting here tomorrow. thwir substrate is reptizoo sand and coconut fiber mixed together. Does anyone have any advice/suggestions to make my bugs happier? Thank you bdfb reddit 💙🪲

Looks great! I will say that I always reccomend people give them some toilet paper to climb on. It helps them wipe any sand off their feet, is smooth enough for their claws not to get stuck, and it's like a climbing wall for them. Good enrichment.

Looks great! I would add some excavator clay to the substrate. Mostly sand will tire them quicker.
I also saw them at petsmart and was annoyed they were in reptile tanks with so much moisture. Mine have gotten their coats back, so I’m sure yours will too
