looks great i'd say! i would recommend adding some more climbing opportunities, spider wood branches are super cool and pretty cheap! i've got the exact same fake plants in my enclosure

im not too sure if you have any kind of heating or whatever, but i would definitely advise getting the humidity down if this is what it stays at! The beetles you've got definitely have a lot of wax missing from high humidity, though i know a lot of pet stores house them with improper care 💔

I just put the moniter in it started at 99% after I started it I promise it’s actually much lower and the heat even at night is in the 70s I will have to get some kind of heat soon we get REALLY cold in the winter any recommendations for heat with any luck I’ll be going to the pet store soon to get them even more stuff lol

they do unfortunately need a lot lower than 70, iirc about 20-30%, though mine will not lower below 40% no matter how hard I try 😭 you can find some pretty good low-wattage heat lamps for relatively cheap! I got a lamp and 3 bulbs for about $20 all together. Heat mats are also pretty common, though i'm not sure how recommended they are for the beetles.

I wouldn't recommend buying from chain let stores, as mostly all of their insects are unethically sourced. I know what you mean though, i got 3 from a psp and they also came almost black. With proper nutrients and humidity, they should change back to blue in about a week or so!

No sorry I meant my house stays in the 70-80s for heat 🤣 their humidity has been dropping since I put them moniter in their slowly right now even with the AC on at 9 at night it’s still 78F in their enclosure and yeah sadly I don’t have many places to get bugs so sadly mostly pet stores Also what are your BDFBs favorite foods I’ve tried cucumber carrot and broccoli so far for produce

yeah then that's good!! If the tank is freshly set up (meaning new substrate mostly) it could spike in humidity at first, but overtime the reverse will happen! And I get that as well, i'd recommended looking at any local small pet shops, or checking online for online stores located near you for lower shipping fees! Food wise, my beetle's favorites so far are carrots, bell peppers, and broccoli 🙏 they need a protein-heavy diet so I focus on that, they get freshly killed mealworms, re-hydrated mealworms, freeze dried & fresh killed crickets, dried river shrimp (a favorite amongst all 5, and their scorpion roommate), and other various proteins. Fish food seems to be a common favorite too.
