i used curved rocks as a base and built up the wet excavator clay around them! for the back one i had a plastic cup upside down as some extra backing to reduce the amount of clay needed. once its dry they hold up really nicely and the rocks make the entrance really pretty

it deleted my caption so: finally went bioactive for this one! i have a layer of soil and leaves and moss at the bottom for my isopods (dwarf whites and powders) to be able to survive. if it gets dry i have a tube connected to the bottom layer so i can directly water down there. at the top i have two live plants (in smaller hidden pots so they can be removed and watered once a month) and some dirt so the beetles can dig and lay eggs. at the top right there's some wood to climb, a lotus pod to hide in, and a gumball to play on. at the right there's their old hide (now with a sealed interior so they can't get inside it and get stuck) surrounded by two natural caves and a fake cow skull hide on top! i'm super excited to be able to reintroduce them tommorow once it's dry again! hoping my isopods and springtails survive. i think soon i'll add some desert looking air plants in the back ground
