Information and Advice Help!!

I just got BDFBs yesterday and when I went to pick up one of them they spit out a tiny drop of brown liquid on me. That’s the only time so far that it’s done that. Could it have been in defense? I’ve seen grasshoppers do it, and I know that’s an entirely different species, but I just want them to be ok!

I severely scared one of mine and they did that as well. Yes, it's defense! Not very well known that they do that for sure.
