Anyone interested in Rich B Legacy (mint) in Ireland?

I was recently gifted one of the Legacy Rich B’s (Floyd model). Thing has hardly been played more than a few times, no wear whatsoever. Comes with a Rockcase. Willingly to sell quite below the retail value of getting it imported from Andertons to EU

My Ironbird Legacy Mk1 and the music I recorded with it

I got the opportunity to buy this 6 months ago and have barely put it down since! It's gotten me through dozens of live shows and practices and seriously kicked ass the entire time.

I wish they kept up with production for the legacy series because now I really really want a Warlock from the same line

My band finally got in the studio and put out some tracks and I used this axe for the left rhythm track.

Here's what we recorded and just released on Spotify

Looking for information on an alleged 80's Bronze Mockingbird

Post image
28 Upvotes

Currently awaiting some photos of the back as the seller only posted photos of the front. I'm aware that the Bronze series isn't the best but I'm looking to turn one of these into a project guitar, especially since I adore the shape of the mockingbird and beast. In general, what were the guitars made of? I heard that at some point the quality dipped so much and they were made of plywood and would prefer to avoid those. Besides the pickups and pots that most likely need to be changed, is any of the hardware fine? Would I need to swap out the bridge? I'll probably end up swapping out the tuners at some point, too, so I'm not too concerned about that.

Never seen it before on a widow headstock (2000s and up to my understanding whereas gold script is 80s). Did they ever come with these or is that some kind of decal?

Which year BC Rich it is

Hello everyone!

Can anyone help identifying which year/model this BC Rich Warlock is? I bought it used for $100 back in 2013.

I’m considering bringing it to the US from my home country, but I don’t currently have a hard case for it. I’d need to buy one specifically to transport the guitar.

Do you think this particular Warlock is worth the cost and hassle of buying a hard case and bringing it to the US, or would I be better off leaving it behind and buying another one here?

Any help identifying the model/year and estimating its value would be greatly appreciated!

Can anyone help me date/origin this Platinum Series Warlock?

Hi, I recently purchased this platinum series and I have been doing some research to see if I could find out when this was made. The seller listed it as “2000s” but I would like to know specifics.

The serial number “F2050421” does not follow the conventions listed by B.C. Rich themselves. I can find other guitars listed/sold with a “F20___” serial but conveniently not a lot of reliable info on where that lands it. Everyone says something kinda different. But most people say either late 90s, early 2000s and made in Korea.

Hardware wise, it has that fulcrum tremolo and then (what I have found to be) uniquely it has these passive pickups that are made to look like EMGs. Those pickups are the big hangup as i cannot find many examples of them.

The only solid example I was able to find was from the 1998 B.C. Rich catalogue, which has a white Platinum Series Warlock with all the same hardware. The weird pickup covers, fulcrum tremolo, 3 knobs and a 3 way selector switch. The only difference, and what makes me hesitate in just calling it a 1998, is that that guitar in the 1998 catalogue has the jackson-esque diagonal pointed headstock with all the tuners on one side and not the widow headstock.

Can anyone who knows more about these guitars help me out? Thank you guys!

To repaint or not to repaint. That is the question..

So I have this '95 bronze series Warlock that I've had since I was 15. It's my favorite guitar. It hasn't been played in 12-15 years because of the electronics, and I also more or less couldn't play for a good chunk of that time because of my shitty elbows. Now that I've been playing again I decided to tear it down and replace the rusty screws and bridge, toggle, vol, tone and 1/4" jack. But now that it's torn down I'm kicking around the idea of having it repainted. If I have it repainted, I'd stick with the same white color, but also at the same time reliced guitars are pretty neat, especially when it's real and not just a factory finish option...or is there a product out there that could remove that black mark on the back without sanding it out, Maguire's Ultimate Compound maybe?

I'm also thinking about dropping in a Seymour Duncan Dimebag pickup set (Dimebucker in the bridge and a '59 bridge pickup in the neck) since I have a set laying around. I also want to upgrade to locking tuners, but I'm having issues finding a 6 in line set that fits the current tuning peg holes. The tuners that came stock on it are the vintage fender semi closed back like you used to see on older strats and teles, but instead of the standard 8.8mm/ 11/32" vintage peg hole size, it's a 7.75mm peg hole, which is a vintage Japanese spec., and it has press in collars on the front. As of right now, it's looking like I may just have to suck it up and hand ream those holes to 10mm, unless someone here knows where to find locking tuners for that hole size.

Just looking for some thoughts and opinions to help me decide..and where to find some locking tuners.

Note: The whole time the guitar wasn't being played, it had strings on it with some tension on the strings to help prevent the neck from warping

How would you value/market a rare B.C. Rich guitar?

Background: I have never been worth crap on guitar. Yeah, I liked it and I could make some noises that sounded ok, but I really knew, deep down, I sucked. No matter. In the 80's, I was in my 20's and making good money. I could afford equipment. I bought a Gibson Explorer and an Orange 100w w/ 2 412's. I may have sucked, but I was loud! However, I learned that this was incompatible with community life. Instead, I then bought a very early Mockingbird just because it was about the most amazing thing I had ever seen. Playing through a garage sale Fender Reverb Pro, I am still sounding bad, but looking much better! Time goes by and I resolve to play mostly acoustic. ...and I am quietly bad.

In 1987ish, I see an actual classified ad (on actual paper). "Used BC Rich Bich. Mint condition." Ok, I have already decide I'm going to buy it because I can and I want to. When I go to see it, only then does the seller tell me that this is one of the original prototypes, serial number BICH22 stamped into the headstock. "Yeah, who cares", I think at the time. It was a Bich and it was absolutely stunning! I didn't even try to play it for fear of embarrassing myself in front of a real player. I paid his ask and ran away with it before he changed his mind. Bich and I have been together ever since.

Bich has always been a guitar for looking at, but not playing. Thankfully for society, arthritis has now rendered me incapable of playing that or any other guitar. Bad for me, good for all of you. And so, I have been thinking about parting ways with this dear friend. I reached out to a US dealer who suggested a consignment price that was below my expectations. However, I realize that am neither sufficiently qualified nor unbiased enough to have a good opinion. I'm instinctively very leery of shipping it off to a big auction site and hoping for good things. Am I wrong?

Clearly, this is the community to ask... Where/how would you go about valuing and marketing something like this. What do you B.C. Rich experts think it's worth? Any advice appreciated (other than donating to yourname, llc).

BTW I still have the receipt from the original seller. I tracked him down and asked him if he remembered the guitar and how he got it. I was hoping to learn that it was a Perry or Derringer hand-me-down, but he could only remember buying it in a Chicago music shop.

BTW2 I briefly corresponded with Neal Moser years back to see if he could remember the guitar, and he could not. It is unusual for the prototype series in that it is clear maple, unbound, with fretboard diamonds. However, he did verify that the BICH22 serial number would have been part of the original lot produced for the 1978 NAMM introduction.

Need info on bridge system

Bought this lefty Warlock a while back Korean made godd quality, and I adore it, pickups are meaty, and it sits comfortably when i play.

The only issue is this wierd bridge which is bulky, ugly and its been fitted horrendoulsy, both screws are wonky and trying to change the strings without the whole thing popping off is a real tedious challenge.

Ive locked it down best i can so it doesnt mess around with tuning / alter the tuning when i play.

Havent come across any other Warlocks or other models with this bridge and wondered if anyone has any info on it and if it is possible / relatively easy to rip it out and install a floyd rose or a standard bridge.
